Breathing without air

Rio do Arado (Arado's river) - Trail until the Cascata do Arado (Arado's waterfall)
Almost at the feet of the waterfall
Here it is
Cascata do Taiti - Rio Ermida (Taiti's waterfall - Ermida's river)
Cascata do Taiti (Taiti's waterfall again)
Cascata do Rio Homem - Mata da Albergaria (waterfall of the river called Homem - which means man)
For me this is one of the most fascinating places in Portugal, the Gerês.
The Parque Nacional da Peneda Gerês (Peneda Gerês National Park) has some of the most fabulous view with amazing waterfalls.
If you go there try to get to know the most you can of the Park and go trough the Mata da Albergaria. It's a wonderful ride.
Although it takes a lot of courage do dive into the freezing water - even in Summer time (like when does photos was taken) - the truth is that's almost impossible not to dive.
The water invites you to do it.
The sound that the water does when it's going down the mountain and the way that it let's you see everything makes you want to be a part of the scene really bad.
It looks as if the water is whispering: "See? I have nothing to hide, everything you see and feel it's real, you just need to dive. Come one".

Power suit and pretty cat hair & acessories
Who says you can be a stylish burglar?
A Black heat, pencil dress and blazer are excellent for a fashion getaway
Diamands are a girl's best friend
Finally they invent a truly powerfull pumps
Yesterday, after listening to varius opinions and see the trailer, I've decided to go watch Batman.
I was a little apreensive because usually i'm not a fan of action movies.
Batman did surprise me, I stare at the screen the all time.
Not just to see what Catwoman was dressing or to think: "How can this girl jump, run and dissapear on those heels?" but also to enjoy the story.
I liked every moment of it and I even held my heart on my hands when Batman was trying to escape from a difficult place (I don't want to spoil the experience for those of you who didn't watch the movie yet) even if I already knew that he would get out of there.
I apologize to the men but Catwoman got the full attention of my fashion side.
If you want, ask, and I will do a fashion post of the men on the movie.

Helmet at it's "normal" state
Helmet after the activation of the sensors
I believe that when you saw the first image you went like: "Wow. So beautiful" but right after you saw the next your brain just went: "What?!?!?".
Yes, No?
I'm almost a fashionholic and I always thought that you can add a touch of luxury and beauty to everthing you do or wear.
Until now, ridding a bike left my fashion side divided. I wanted to feel safe but the helmets you see everywhere are a fashion crime.
Ok, I confess that when the sensors activate the helmet is not that fashion, althought it has a futuristic look (Love).
The company - HÖVDING  - sells in Denmark, Norway and Sueden. But there's always the shipping option - only for Europe. All of you outside Europe will have to wait, I believe.

How does it work?
You put the collar around your neck (like the first image). It has an airbag that become active, and visible (as you can see in the second image) everytime you are near of having an accident.

The images were taken from their official website - Here

Don't forget about the giveaway

Top - Pinkie; Jeans - Berska; Sun glasses - Multiópticas
Bag - Misako
Bracelets with turquoise beads - H&M; Watch - Primark
Butterfly ring - Was a gift
Sandals - After a smile she said: "can't remember", but I liked the sandals so much that I had to show them to you

The Rua Augusta is one of the main streets in Lisbon and I always felt that "something" happens once you've passed the Arco do Triunfo da Rua Augusta (Rua Augusta's arch).
The people, the shops, the street performances (that sometimes take place here) show a special Lisbon, with stylish people (and strong personalities).
Although she couldn't remember where the sandals came from, she knew very well that they were chosen, as well as the jeans, because of the bright and fun colors. She kept the rest of the outfit simple and discreet because she thinks it reflects her way of being.
I really like when people use the clothes to show who they are instead of using them to show someone that doesn't exist.
Don't forget about the giveaway

After thinking really hard about the blog, and what I want to do with it, I've decided that I want to show my world, as I see it, and thank you for being a part of it.

Don't think that my decision was made in a impulse. I gave it a lot of thought.

I know that sometimes - by my experience in blogs I follow/see - people sometimes only be a part of a giveaway to win e then stop going there.

(by now, I'm sure you already know what I'm about to say)

Yes. I'm going to make giveaways with things that are a part of my world and which I love.

But, there's a catch (there's always one, right?).

I will only make a giveaway each time I have 100 new followers. Every week I'm going to say how many I have, so we don't miss any big mark.

Hope you like the idea.

It's possible to follow Lx Hugs by making a login with a google account, twitter or yahoo.

Until now I have : 4 Followers.

Dress - Zara
Blouse - Zara
I've sinned today. I admit it. Temptation got the best of my and I shopped for clothes just to feel better.
I'm more of a need shopper then an impulse one.
I didn't reallyyyyyyy need the clothes I bought today, but I couldn't help myself.
All because my digital camera it's not working very well, I can't use any memory card on it.
I got sad and a little bit lost: "What am I going to do for my blog now?", was my first thought.
A part of me said, as I was entering the store: "really? Are you going to buy clothes? What about saving the money to fix your camera?, but I pretended I didn't hear any of it.
But we can always see the bright side of things.
At least my sin made me see the new Zara's collection (which I recommend) and also gave me something to blog about.

Cristiano Sereni e Paolo Benassi (childhood friends) are the responsible for one of the most delicious ice cream I've ever eaten.

Amorino was born in the year 2002 but was only after 12 years that I've tried the ice cream for the very first time, in the first store to open in Portugal (Lisbon, Rua Augusta). I have to tell you that it was worth the waiting.

The ice cream, shaped like a flower, made me go back in time to my childhood and from petal to petal: "love you, love you more, love you, love you more" I ate the whole thing in seconds.

I believe I beat the world record for eating ice cream in the smallest amount of time.

New era

Lisbon is a wonderful city that can make us excited and can surprise us in the smallest things.

Looking at Rio Tejo and admire, in the various city viewpoints, the sailboats that sail away, even the Cacilheiros.

Walking in the traditional Portuguese paving with a comfortable shoes.

Smiling at the tourists.

Watch the children run after the pigeons like there's no tomorrow.

Walking in the Avenida da Liberdade (Lisbon's main avenue).

Go to the Castelo de São Jorge (Saint George's Castle).

These are one of the many things that I like to do in the city, but of course there's a lot more.

The people are also wonderful and sometimes they can surprise us too, just like the city itself.

I was walking in the Chiado (a noble shopping area with all sorts of shops and entertainment) when I saw a TV presenter very well known in Portugal, doing some filmings for her fashion TV program.

Dress - Bought in a store in Londres; Flats - Zara
I  was very surprised about the way Raquel Strada (that's her name) smiled and said quickly: "yes, sure", when I asked her if I could take some pictures.
I confess I always thought that she was a fun, nice and sweet person - she looks like that everytime I see her on TV - but I wasn't expecting such a warm reception from her side.

The princess finally got what she wanted. The friends from yesterday have, already, their earring's and are more beautiful now.

Because the princess needs to continue her life in the fairytale land, she came to me (someday I'll know how she found me) and said that I must keep doing her work here.

But.... I have a few problems.

First, I'm not a princess at all (in school I used to be a tom girl, never care less about the way I used to look and had more guys for friends than girls. The only thing that was missing was my feet on the futebol field or soccer pitch). correct me if I'm saying it wrong

Second, I don't believe in fairy tales or else this blog should have by now 200.000 followers.
And Third, I'm not sure about what I want to do in/with this blog (too much honesty?).

The only thing that helps, is the fact that lately I'm starting to pay more attention to fashion but I'm still a girl like the others. I'm no princess, I have no castle, nothing.
I'm more this type of girl. To start this new era, I'll still be talking about fashion but also about my city, Lisbon. With time and the help of my followers (ambition above almost everything) I'll be navigating through this galaxy - who knows maybe discover some new one's - and make this a place everyday more beautiful.

Tomorrow the new era will start with a surprise (someday even I will be sick of suspense).
Hugs for you all - that maybe will be only two people, that got lost on the Internet and ended up here.

But who is this princess?
    Urban fairytale I

The princess thought that maybe would be good to search for the person to give the earring's in another place.

Everyone knows that the girls on the fairy tales love to discover different places to see and things to do.

Snow white decided - yes, because no woman can be forced to do anything, as much as people try to say the opposite - to go live with a bunch of dwarfs in a tiny house. She really wanted to sleep in seven little beds, all together, wash a pile of dishes e have seven men just to herself.

Rapunzel thought that should be interesting let her hair grow like no other girl can ever do, even if she pledged to go "no poo".

The sleeping beauty thought that would be lots of fun go on the wood to dance with a owl, wearing a cape (carried by two birds), and a stylish hat (above the poor squirrel), ahhh and with two bunnies inside the boots.

And then, there's the others, but we'll go there another day.

To be even more different, the princess wanted to offer the earring's to two girls, instead of only one. She found two friends. Which was even better because friendship it's one of the most beautiful things in the world.

In exchange for the earring's, the two friends diced to share there secrets with the princess (the that guy did yesterday)

But who is this princess?

Wednesday, August 15, 2012

The princess was on a mission to find the person who would be worthy for the earring's e kept walking near the Torre de Belém, searching for the right one.

But, still, remained a big question: how would she now who's that person?

After a lot of thought and looking everywhere, and to the earring's, she decided to offer them to the first person with style and beauty but also someone willing to tell all of they're fashion secrets.

And she found that first person.

After many tries, for that one person to take the earring's, she only get a no for answer, after a laugh: "The earring's are very cute, but i'm not going to use them".
E here it is, the first person, who gave a reward to the princess for her kindness, but did not accept the offer: the full acess to all of the secrets.

About the secrets
     Button down shirt: Zara
    Watch: Kalenji (Decathlon)
Trousers: Springfield

The princess said: "take you" and walked away.

But who is this princess?

Urban fairytale I

Once upon a time, there was a princess, - very beautiful, the most beautiful girl of the kingdom - and she was lost in the streets of Lisbon, with no direction.

As she was walking, around the Torre the Belém, she suddenly stopped and was held in place by the rhythm of the Rio Tejo's little waves, smashing on the stairs.

It was a windy day and the news ran fast. Every breeze came with a different novelty: a fabulous dress that was in a store for sale, a glass slippers that we're near by (in another shop), and many other things that the princess loved.

She sits on the stairs, she couldn't deal with the velocity of the news. You know, the wind was blowing really hard.

A few minutes later the wind just went quiet but the beautiful girl didn't get up for a long time. She sat there listening to the waves, closed her eyes and thought about all the dreams she wanted to come true.

But right in that second, a breeze went by and told her: "get close to that little Torre de Belém and you're going to see something of your desire".

There they were, the earrings that the princess once dreamed about having.

But because this princess was a real princess and very beautiful, she decided to offer the earrings to someone.

Tomorrow, or maybe not (the suspense that I love), you'll going to see the person who got new earrings.

Hello girls and boys (maybe).

Today starts a new era on the internet! (imagine reading the rest of the text with the theme song of Star Wars on the background, or better yet, push play on this video and carry on the reading).

No one knows what will happen from this day forward, but there are great expectations (at least from this side of the galaxy).

Now you have an easy to find paradise, where you can see all about fashion, beauty, and others things from life.

In this galaxy, which often may look like a black hole, you'll have access to photos, texts and other surprises (I must keep the suspense alive).
Please be beautiful in your suggestions and criticism or else i'll be the one entering, at light speed, that same black hole.

Today i'll be walking in the streets of Lisbon (btw i'm from Portugal) seaching for my guinea pig's, but for now i'm not telling you what i'm going to do to them MUAHAHAHAHAHAH

So stay alert and never forget: hug who you are and show the beauty of being authentic to the rest of the world.

Use fashion to show your personality and not to hide who you really are.
